My Anchor

My entry for ‘Art of the Month - Sea World’ hosted by AmavaaArts in her discord community! It portrays my two blood elf couple characters - Vernonia and Avenier submerged in the depths of the ocean.
These two have face several challenges being each other’s anchors and in this piece, I wanted to show one such moment where he’s being her anchor through her emotional turmoils where she feels as if she will drown deep into her anxieties. However, he is always there to pull her out to the surface and see clarity.
This was another piece very much outside my comfort zone but it taught me how lighting and colour changes when the subject moves underwater due to the different wavelengths of light absorbed and reflected by the seawater
